I quit gaming a few years back and never liked the WASD movement, I always used a Saitek Cyborg Command unit for FPS style games, they broke all the time, the joystick always went back. I still have one I got off ebay as a backup, so this is really cool to see

hello! great videos ive been watching your journey in modding the tartarus and i wanted to ask if youve had trouble with the Dpad interms that one of the clickers just stopped working and if you had any suggestion of could i do to repair it?

Came across your videos randomly looking for guidance as i want to make the switch to the tartarus v2 but i'm not a soldering guy. I'm somewhat techie but the soldering throws me. Are you selling modded tartarus v2 with hall effect analogs? That would save me the trouble of trying to do this myself, but I see this as a necessary mod due to the dredded dpad issues i've been seeing with the tartarus V2. I didn't want to go the Azeron route because of the cost and i've seen hundreds of people swear by the logitech g13 and the tartarus is the closest i've seen albeit for the lack of true analog stick.

FWIW, I didn't have a whole lot of success with the batch of Hall Effect JoyCons I've tested (Gulikit). I saw inconsistent centering and weird limits at X+/X- Y+/Y- It might have been the batch -- I've heard they have done revisions, but for now I'm "wait and see" -- which stinks, because folks want Hall.

Ive used the hall effect joycon module in my conversions, but to get a better throw i extend the joycon knob out and you end up with the same amount of movement as a regular joystick

I had almost all razer keypad they made, and love them. Just a little observation, the brand not the be carve in the plastic, all the screw on the other side of the model not in the front, and more round angles, not so straight, for the surface you can use vinille carbon fiber, it's very easy to put and the looks will be amazing. But, it looks great as it is anyways

not sure if you will see this or not, just wanting to know if theres a way to connect a switch light joycon directly to the tartarus v2 pcb or if id need to connect the joycon to a usb module and connect it on its own like your other analog mod?

I have been looking for someone to do the exact mods for my orbweaver for some time now. How do I contact for business inquiries or to possibly talk more and get you to work on mine. I swapped from console to pc, and use a orbweaver since and still currently. So getting the thumb/space tab swapped and the switched swapped is what I am most looking for. The new dpad looks really intresting. Why is it so boxy? I wonder if i had one of these prototypes if id even wanna use the dpad that far away though. I have very large hands and oddly enough i find myself testing my thumb in the gap between the thumb inputs and the face key inputs. Essentially when resting my thumb will tuck under the default 'spacebar' switch if that makes sense. Oh another thing thats come to mind. No clue how much of a grasp you have on proper ergonomics but i always found when trying to find the perfect peripheral they all seemed to fall really short in terms of ergonomics. My orbweaver is okay but i have very little adjustment i can do and just put up with it. At least its not my logitech g13 tho i remember that thing literally hurting to use back on diablo 3. Makes you raise your wrists and point your hand/fingers down 😓

I know this videos super old but it looks really clean. Just a bit exposed when u tilt the stick sorta like my wacky ps360 controller. (It basically let u see through the gap to the board because i was using aftermarket ps3 sticks/tops meant for the ps3 in my 360 sized shell)

How do i get one of these?? This mod makes this v2 perfect. Do I but one and ship it to you, or do you ship a kit and i diy?

UA-cam did the thing where it recommended a random channel, and the roulette wheel landed on you - and yeah, nice work on this. As I've tried to print keycaps before, that itself is a feat. Although I tried on a FDM printer and not a resin printer; resin is definitely the way to go there (though I might have better luck with my newer printer). I don't anticipate myself becoming a customer, as this isn't quite my style of keyboard, but you've gained a follower!

Have you thought about alternate routing for that cable going to the thumbstick stuff? I get weird vibes that i might catch something on it or if i were to throw it in one of my cable/peripheral drawers something could happen.

@tuffrabit Hey, i use the Orbweaver too. Unluckily the micro switch of the thumb button above the DPAD isn't working anymore. Can you tell me please, what micro switches are used in the orbweaver, so i can get a replacement to solder in? Thank you so much in advance. Nice work btw.

You should have definitely included a quick synopsis of what the analog mod does, why someone would want to do it, and how difficult it would be. I even saw someone include a section of tools required. Im over 3 mins in and im just having to guess what this mod does and if id even wanna look into it as i found this video not specifically looking for an analog mod but repair stuff. Also i may leave you another comment or try to DM you on twitter. I would absolutely love to pick your brain and possibly buy some of your stuff. Im very excited to see your other videos and or products because PC/gaming peripherals are so god damn important and cool and yet the industry still doesnt care or want to make anything remotely good for what we would want or use it for. They dont even sell the same amazing orbweaver anymore you have to buy these newer versions that are inferior in some ways :( Im actually on the verge of trying another product from amazon or waiting to see if when the german movemaster peripheral comes out soon if itll not be so overpriced i cant get one lol

2023 For anyone wondering about the strange valve train noises from Jeep’s 4.0, in-line 6, here’s my result. 388,600 miles on my 1998 before I sold it for scrap: Midwestern winters ate the frame. Concerning the engine: Oil used: standard Valvoline 10/40, changed 4,000-5,000 miles. Fram oil filter. Switched to Maxlife synthetic blend 10/40 after. In all those miles: 4 camshaft position sensors, 1 water pump, 1 power steering pump, spark plugs 80,000 mile intervals, 1 ignition coil, 3 radiators. 6 fan belts. NO internal engine problems. Hope this answers any questions about the 4.0

Amazing how tidy these mods are nowadays! How are you finding the smaller stick? Personally I never minded the ergonomics of the traditional analogue stick but the reliability of a Hall effect stick is not unattractive to me
